Job Responsibilities: Develop and implement efficient procurement strategies for bakery and food-grade raw materials. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with both domestic and international vendors for best pricing, credit terms, and quality assurance. Maintain optimum inventory levels while ensuring timely procurement to avoid shortages or overstocking. Liaise with the R&D and production teams to understand material specifications and forecast requirements. Monitor supplier performance, resolve supply chain issues, and manage vendor relationships for long-term partnerships. Stay updated on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging ingredients or alternatives. Ensure full compliance with food safety, FSSAI, and import/export regulations during procurement. Maintain detailed purchase records, cost analysis reports, and procurement KPIs. Candidate Requirements: Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in procurement, specifically in the food or bakery ingredients sector. Proven track record of vendor development and strategic sourcing. Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Familiarity with import documentation and regulatory norms is a plus. Proficient in ERP software and MS Excel. Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Supply Chain, or related fields; MBA preferred. Note: Immediate or early joiners will be given preference.
