Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to oversee the end-to-end procurement process for civil construction and real estate development projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in materials sourcing, vendor development, procurement strategy, and team leadership. This role is critical to ensuring timely delivery of materials and services, maintaining quality standards, and controlling procurement costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the procurement function including sourcing strategies, vendor identification, evaluation, and development.
• Plan, forecast, and execute procurement schedules in alignment with project timelines and budgets.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to optimize cost and ensure quality.
• Maintain and nurture vendor relationships; resolve conflicts and performance issues when necessary.
• Supervise the procurement team and guide them to achieve operational excellence.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, industry standards, and statutory regulations.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and other departments to ensure timely material delivery and avoid delays.
• Oversee logistics, inventory control, and delivery tracking.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and ERP system data.
• Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proven negotiation and contract management capabilities.
• Strong vendor management and sourcing acumen in the construction/real estate sector.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good understanding of market trends, pricing, and construction materials.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Supply Chain Management / Business Administration or related field.
• MBA or professional certification in Procurement/Supply Chain (preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in procurement within the real estate or civil construction industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
