Job Description


BASIC PURPOSE:


The Proposal Writer is responsible for sales content development, including writing, preparing and editing proposals, RFx responses, PowerPoint sales presentations, and thought-leadership collateral designed to convey Cross Countrys standing as an industry leader and secure new business and expansion opportunities.

This position requires a self-motivated, collaborative individual with excellent writing, time-management, and communication skills. The Proposal Writer will collaborate with the sales team, account teams, organizational stakeholders, and subject matter experts to develop and write original content aligned to our brand and pursuit strategies.

The Proposal Writer must be enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, nimble environment that stays ahead of industry trends to meet clients' needs.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Project manage a streamlined process to develop quality proposals, qualification documents, presentations, and other sales-related collateral
  • Work directly with sales and stakeholders to co-develop proposal responses and content
  • Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; entering and monitoring tracking data; coordinating requirements with contributors; contributing proposal status information to review meetings; transmitting proposals
  • Strict adherence to all RFx instructions when preparing proposals
  • Timely delivery of all internal deliverables and external deadlines related to proposals, RFx responses, sales presentations, and collateral
  • Build relationships with organizational stakeholders and subject matter experts necessary to produce successful sales content
  • Research as needed to develop relevant responses
  • Present and share knowledge from learning events and other means of staying current with industry developments and trends
  • Identify and leverage best practices
  • Administrative tasks including completing forms for RFx responses


QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/SKILLS


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Planning, time management and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years’ business / technical writing experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS-Office suite
  • Workforce Solutions, MSP, RPO experience a plus
  • Healthcare industry experience a plus
  • Graphic Design skills a plus
