Job Description

Job Purpose To plan, execute, monitor, and successfully deliver electrical projects within scope, time, cost, and quality standards, while ensuring safety compliance and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Planning & Execution Plan and manage end-to-end execution of electrical projects (LT/HT panels, cabling, installation, testing & commissioning). Prepare project execution plans, schedules, and resource deployment plans. Coordinate with design, procurement, QA/QC, and site teams for smooth execution. 2. Site Management Supervise site activities including installation, erection, testing, and commissioning. Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, BOQ, and technical specifications. Monitor daily site progress and resolve technical or execution issues. 3. Cost, Budget & Commercial Control Control project costs and track budgets vs actuals. Approve material requisitions and manage consumption at site. Handle extra items, variations, and change orders with proper documentation. 4. Coordination & Communication Act as the single point of contact with clients, consultants, and vendors. Conduct regular meetings with clients and internal teams. Coordinate with purchase and stores for timely availability of materials. 5. Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure compliance with IEC/IS standards, client specifications, and approved procedures. Implement QA/QC plans, inspections, and checklists. Ensure all test reports, drawings, and handover documents are completed. 6. Safety & Statutory Compliance Ensure implementation of safety standards, JSA, HIRA, PTW systems at site. Enforce statutory compliance including electrical safety norms. Conduct safety meetings and audits regularly. 7. Documentation & Reporting Maintain project documentation: drawings, approvals, reports, and records. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. Support billing, RA bills, final bills, and project closure documents. 8. Team Leadership Lead and manage site engineers, supervisors, contractors, and technicians. Monitor performance, provide guidance, and resolve manpower issues. Ensure discipline, productivity, and coordination at site. Qualifications B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering PMP certification (preferred but not mandatory) Experience 5–10 years of experience in electrical project execution Hands-on experience in LT panels (PCC, MCC, APFC, PLC), cabling, and industrial installations Experience in EPC / industrial / infrastructure projects preferred Key Skills & Competencies Strong project planning and execution skills Good understanding of electrical drawings, BOQs, and standards Cost control and commercial awareness Leadership and team management Client communication and coordination Knowledge of safety practices and statutory norms Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project / Primavera (preferred)
