Job Description

Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, execute, and manage multiple Government IT projects end-to-end — from initiation to successful delivery.
Lead and mentor the project team, define scope, set milestones, and monitor project progress using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
Prepare and maintain project documentation — SRS, BRD, FRD, MOMs, risk registers, and progress reports.
Coordinate with client departments, NIC, and other government stakeholders for approvals, UATs, and go-live activities.
Ensure compliance with Government IT standards including GIGW, CERT-In, ISO 27001, and STQC.
Track project performance using tools like
JIRA
and ensure alignment with scope, time, and budget.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (if Agile), manage sprint planning, retrospectives, and progress reporting.
Identify project risks, create mitigation plans, and ensure proactive communication with stakeholders.
Coordinate with the QA, Development, UI/UX, and Deployment teams for seamless delivery and maintenance support.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree
in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.
PMP / Scrum Master Certification
preferred.
Minimum
5 years of experience
in managing IT software development or implementation projects (preferably Government/PSU).
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
Proven experience in stakeholder management and client coordination with Government agencies.
Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
