Role: Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator will play a critical role in facilitating community-level implementation and ensuring the long-term sustainability of project interventions. This position demands a deep commitment to working with rural communities and requires strong coordination with local self-government institutions, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and other grassroots stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the

    Single Point of Contact (SPOC)

    for the assigned CSR project, leading its

    end-to-end implementation

    – from planning and execution to monitoring, reporting, and closure.
  • Prepare detailed

    project implementation plans

    in line with agreed timelines, budgets, and outcomes, ensuring alignment with donor expectations and organizational priorities.
  • Conduct

    community engagement activities

    , including Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), need assessments, and regular field visits, to ensure ground-level relevance and participation.
  • Manage

    day-to-day execution

    of the project at the field level, coordinating with community members, local leaders, government departments, and partner organizations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with

    Gram Panchayats, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs)

    , and other grassroots stakeholders to ensure support and convergence.
  • Plan and organize

    awareness drives, community meetings, capacity-building sessions

    , and thematic events aligned with project objectives.
  • Take complete ownership of

    budget utilization

    , ensuring effective cost management, timely disbursements, and compliance with financial protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of all project activities, beneficiary data, and intervention progress for internal tracking and external reporting.
  • Lead the

    documentation and reporting

    process, including monthly updates, case studies, field insights, financial reports, and donor-specific documentation.
  • Monitor project risks, flag critical issues, and recommend corrective actions in coordination with the operations team and donor representatives.
  • Foster a cadre of

    local volunteers or champions

    , building their capacities to support and sustain project outcomes beyond the intervention period.


Qualifications & Skills:

a)      Graduate or postgraduate in any discipline, preferably in Social Work, Rural Development, or related fields, with a demonstrated willingness to work with communities through committed efforts.

b)      Preferred: 2–3 years of relevant experience in the social development sector, particularly in community engagement and grassroots implementation, is preferred.

c)      Proficiency in the regional language i.e. Telugu is essential.

d)      Willingness to travel extensively for work-related assignments across project locations.


Additional Skills:

·      Strong problem-solving skills at the community level, with the ability to develop creative and simple solutions for complex challenges.

·      Sound knowledge of Project Planning, Budget Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) tools, Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI) structures, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and governance platforms.

·      Alignment with organizational values and a genuine passion for addressing complex societal issues.

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.

·      A collaborative team player, willing to take on additional responsibilities as required to support project needs.

·      Computer Knowledge will have an added advantage.
