Job Title: Program Manager Location: Bengaluru Type: Consultant Reporting to: Director – New Initiatives Partnerships and Impact. Next Engineers Initiative ( an International Initiative under FHI 360 and implemented in Bengaluru by United Way Bengaluru ) About Us United Way is the world’s oldest and largest privately funded charity, operating in over 37 countries through more than 1,100 chapters. United Way of Bengaluru (UWBe), established in 2008, is committed to creating lasting impact by empowering communities in the city and surrounding rural areas through collaborative development initiatives. Role Summary The Program Manager will lead the implementation of Next Engineers , a dynamic new program designed to develop 21st-century skills among students in government schools. The program aims to inspire students (ages 13–18) to pursue engineering through a structured curriculum, practical sessions, and mentorship support. The role requires strong experience in program design, delivery, government coordination, reporting, risk mitigation, and session facilitation. Key Responsibilities · Ensure complete understanding of the program design and orient team members with clearly defined deliverables. · Engage with relevant Government departments and school authorities to facilitate seamless program integration. · Collaborate with the M&E team to refine and operationalize the program’s monitoring and evaluation framework. · Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring timely and planned fund utilization. · Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation for internal teams and donors. · Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies. · Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage interdependencies and ensure smooth implementation. · Represent UWBe in donor review meetings and other project-related interactions with complete documentation. · Ensure adherence to compliance, legal, safety, and donor-specific guidelines throughout the project lifecycle. · Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned by the organization. · The person is responsible for managing a team of Facilitators and must also be able to deliver content to the students with an objective to foster scientific temperament and curiosity. · There will be a specified timelines for delivery and specific target ( in terms of number of sessions and students ). These will be part of the discussions. Engaging with Students with an objective to foster scientific temperament, curiosity would be key. Qualifications & Requirements · Postgraduate degree (preferably in Science, Mathematics, or Engineering). · Minimum 10 years of total work experience, including at least 5 years of teaching experience in Science/Mathematics/Engineering at the school or college level. · Retd., Teachers and Professors can apply · Proficiency in English and Kannada is essential; knowledge of additional regional languages is an advantage. · Prior experience in training facilitation is highly desirable. · Willingness to travel as per program requirements. Compensation A consolidated remuneration of ₹1,00,000/- per month (₹12.00 Lakhs per annum) will be offered. Final compensation will be aligned with the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and previous salary history.
