Operating across Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, SPID implements impactful programs in Child Protection & Education, Women’s Empowerment, Health & Nutrition, and Skill Development, with a mission to create equitable opportunities and long-term change for underserved families.

Position Overview

SPID is seeking a dynamic and committed Program Manager to provide strategic leadership, oversight, and innovation across our core programmatic areas. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Program Manager will play a key role in ensuring high-quality implementation, fostering collaboration across teams of different projects as well as managing direct MUKTI SOUTH ASIA (MSA) project on child sex trafficking, and driving alignment with organizational strategy and donor priorities.

Managing Mukti South Asia project directly:

MSA is the cross border project in India, Nepal and Bangladesh in the partnership of the civil society. It intends to end cross border child sex trafficking.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management and Implementation:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan that aligns with the organization's mission, vision, and objectives, including setting short-term and long-term goals, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and outlining the steps needed to achieve project milestones.
  • Oversee the project's day-to-day operations, ensuring that activities are carried out efficiently and effectively. This includes managing project staff, coordinating with partners, and allocating resources appropriately.
  • Identify potential risks to the project and develop mitigation strategies. This includes conducting regular risk assessments, monitoring risk factors, and implementing contingency plans as needed.
  • Supervise and support project staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Ensure that staff have the resources and support they need to carry out their responsibilities effectively.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Liaise with government officials, including District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) officers, Judicial Magistrates, Public/Special Prosecutors, Police officials, and other relevant authorities.
  • Facilitate capacity-building training and sensitization programs for these stakeholders to enhance their understanding of project objectives and ensure their support and cooperation.
  • Build strong relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and NGO partners.
  • Connect with community members to understand their needs and viewpoints, and make sure that project activities align with community priorities.

Rescue and Rehabilitation:

  • Plan and execute rescue interventions for victims of child/child trafficking, bonded labor, and other forms of extreme injustice.
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities and partners to ensure that rescue operations are conducted safely and effectively.
  • Ensure the provision of immediate and long-term post-rescue services to victims including medical care, psychological counselling, legal assistance, and shelter in accordance with the JJ Act and other guidelines.
  • Assist victims in filing police complaints and follow up on the arrest and prosecution of perpetrators. Ensure that victims have access to legal representation and support throughout the legal process.
  • Ensure the individual care plan (ICP) for each survivor to address their specific needs and support their rehabilitation.
  • Facilitate the social and economic reintegration of survivors into their communities. This includes providing vocational training, livelihood support, and education, as well as working with community members to create a supportive environment for survivors.

Donor Relationship

  • Maintain donor relationships, submit reports in coordination with the team, by ensuring the donor receives clean reports and other requirements as per the request from the donor.

Oversee Overall Programmes as guiding force across the organization:

You will be responsible to ensure that all the programmes in the organisation are implemented as per the plans proposal in coordination with respective project leads.

Programme Management & Strategic Oversight

  • Oversee overall organizational programmes
  • Provide strategic direction for all programme components and interventions
  • Supervise and mentor programme managers across different thematic areas
  • Ensure alignment with organizational strategy and donor requirements
  • Design and develop new programme initiatives based on needs assessments and strategic priorities
  • Monitor programme quality, effectiveness, and impact through robust evaluation frameworks
  • Facilitate cross-learning and knowledge management across programme teams
  • Represent the organization in relevant forums, networks, and consortia
  • Support resource mobilization through proposal development and donor engagement
  • Compile and review programme reports and documentation
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards

Strategic Leadership & Programme Direction

  • Supervise and support project leads, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities
  • Ensure staff have necessary resources and support to carry out responsibilities effectively
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment with open communication, teamwork, and shared commitment to goals
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and identifying growth opportunities

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in programme management within the development sector, preferably in child protection, education, gender, or anti-trafficking initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in project planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent skills in proposal writing, documentation, and budget management.
  • Strong communication skills in Hindi and English (written and spoken).

Additional Information

  • Location: Delhi, with travel to project sites in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
  • Joining: on or before 11th of September, 2025.
