This is a full-time, on-site role for a Program Manager-Hospitals, located in Ranchi. The Program Manager-Hospitals will be responsible for overseeing hospital management programs, managing practice management systems, and ensuring excellent customer service. Daily tasks include budgeting, planning, and communication with stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation and success of hospital initiatives. The role also involves monitoring and evaluating program outcomes and making adjustments as needed.
The Program Manager – Hospitals will be responsible for overseeing the effective functioning, compliance, and system strengthening of three hospital locations managed under SANMAT. The role involves supervising administrators, ensuring smooth financial and operational management, coordinating with government and institutional stakeholders, and supporting clinical capacity-building initiatives. The Program Manager will work closely with the Executive Director and the SANMAT management team to achieve organisational goals.
• Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to Hospital Administrators.
• Conduct weekly review meetings with each Hospital Administrator to monitor progress and address challenges.
• Address operational and administrative issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
• Maintain systematic documentation of all hospital-related information across the three locations.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of financial, operational, and legal documents.
• Maintain correspondence and compliance documentation with the Tribal Welfare Department and other regulatory authorities.
• Coordinate with the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) and the Deputy Commissioner’s office to meet reporting and compliance requirements.
• Present periodic updates and reports to the SANMAT management team during weekly review meetings.
• Liaising with the Tribal Welfare Department and the personnel of the Secretary's office, Department of ST, SC, Minority and Backwards Class Welfare.
• Timely quarterly submission of the invoice and reporting form (A-H form) to ITDA and TWC
• Monitor financial management systems of the three hospitals to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Ensure timely allocation and smooth flow of requests for replenishment of funds (RRF)for operations, procurement, and hospital development.
• Support budget planning and expenditure monitoring in alignment with departmentfunding and requirements.
• Facilitate recruitment, induction, and retention of qualified staff for the three hospitals.
• Work with hospital administrators to ensure adherence to HR policies, performance appraisals, and staff welfare.
• Oversee hospital purchase and procurement processes in coordination with supervisors and administrators.
• Ensure transparent and cost-effective procurement, as well as proper stock management,of medicines, consumables, and equipment.
• Manage logistics through Hospital Administrators to ensure continuous availability of essential supplies.
• Identify gaps in infrastructure, processes, and staffing, and propose strategies for improvement.
• Support the adoption of standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality assurance measures, and hospital accreditation requirements.
• Foster innovation and continuous improvement in patient care and hospital management systems.
• Organise Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs for doctors, nursing staff, and allied health professionals in consultation with supervisors.
• Facilitate workshops, training sessions, community engagement and knowledge-sharing activities to strengthen clinical practices.
• Master’s degree in Hospital Administration / Public Health / Management or equivalent, or hospital management /program management experience.
• Desired 3-5 years of experience in hospital program management, healthcare administration, or public health systems.
• Proven experience in procurement, compliance, and coordination with government bodies.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage operations across multiple hospital locations.
• Directly Reports To: Executive Director / SANMAT Management Team
• Works Closely With: Hospital Administrators, Tribal Welfare Department, ITDA, and District Administration
