Job Title: Production Line Supervisor / Manufacturing Engineer Department: Production / Operations Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: Production Manager / Plant Head Job Summary: We are looking for a result-driven and proactive Production Line Supervisor to lead manufacturing line operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, quality, and team performance. This role involves driving continuous improvement, managing defects, and developing the skillset of the shop floor workforce to support organizational goals. Key Responsibilities:1. Efficiency Optimization: Confirm attendance and availability of team members at the beginning of each shift. Ensure seamless production flow with zero stoppages or delays. Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to remove obstacles to productivity. Continuously monitor and improve line performance metrics. 2. Quality Control: Monitor and enhance Inline Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and Total Units Pass (TUP) ratios. Promote quality ownership among shop floor employees through active involvement in initiatives. Analyze quality issues and execute action plans to drive improvement and reduce defects. 3. Defect Management (OS&D):Ensure accurate tracking and accountability of all rejected parts and components. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) of rejections and implement preventive and corrective measures. Work closely with quality and engineering teams to reduce recurring issues. 4. Training and Skill Development: Conduct ongoing training programs to enable multiskilling and ensure line flexibility. Support the onboarding of new hires and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Build a culture of skill development and continuous learning across shifts. Requirements: Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering. 3–6 years of hands-on experience in a production/manufacturing environment. Good knowledge of lean manufacturing, defect reduction tools (5 Whys, Ishikawa, etc.), and shop floor management. Ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive improvements. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with TPM, 5S, or Six Sigma methodologies.
