Job Description

The role of a Product Owner involves refining and decomposing Epics into Stories with clear acceptance criteria. You will be responsible for ordering the backlog based on customer value and effort considerations while working closely with the delivery team to drive solutions that meet business requirements and realize intended business value. Acting as a liaison between the business and technology, you will validate customer needs, define, and document requirements and negotiate business priorities across multiple stakeholder concerns, including Technology priorities. It will be your responsibility to balance business needs within budget and schedule expectations to obtain the best ROI possible and support the prioritization of necessary technology priorities such as Enablers and Tech Debt remediation. As a Product Owner, you will create and maintain the product backlog, write, review, and approve requirement artifacts, collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the Development Team to define acceptance criteria, and assist the development team in Sprint planning. You will also be accepting completed work throughout the Sprint and ensuring customer and stakeholder acceptance of the product. Collaboration with the Product Manager to manage changing customer priorities will also be a key part of your role. Qualifications and Requirements: - Minimum of 5 years of experience as a product owner - Bachelors degree in Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent - Experience in the Finance Domain is a must - Good to have Product Owner certification - Hands-on experience with Scrum and SAFe - Proficient in project management, client management, and team leadership - Excellent Analytical skills - Strong understanding of project development lifecycle and thorough insight into the SDLC - Experience in executive-level communication and strategy alignment - Prior client-facing experience, facilitation experience (or presentation skills) - Excellent project documentation and record management skills - Proficiency in core tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, Confluence, Visio (Preferred) - Excellent communication skills Perficient is a global digital consultancy that is transforming how the world's leading enterprises and biggest brands connect with customers and grow their businesses.
