Job Description

Primary Objective


Drive product strategy, lifecycle management, and market competitiveness for the product, ensuring alignment with business goals and evolving consumer expectations.


Key Responsibilities


1. Product Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute product strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Contribute to annual business and marketing plans.
  • Analyse product performance, pricing, channel mix, and market segmentation.

2. Product Lifecycle Management

  • Identify opportunities for new product development and profitable line extensions.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to phase-out.
  • Benchmark against competition to guide upgrades and innovation.

3. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Sales:

    Track performance and provide actionable insights for growth.
  • Service & Quality:

    Improve product reliability and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • R&D:

    Drive new product development and technical improvements.
  • SCM:

    Forecast demand and plan inventory effectively.
  • Marketing & Branding:

    Support ATL, BTL, and digital campaigns.

4. Go-to-Market & Communication

  • Develop GTM strategies for new product launches and geographic expansions.
  • Support trade and sales promotions tailored to regional needs.
  • Assist in creating impactful marketing collaterals and positioning narratives.

5. Business Intelligence & Reporting

  • Create dashboards and MIS for consumer insights and performance tracking.
  • Monitor monthly revenue trends across geographies and SKUs.
  • Recommend pricing and promotional actions based on analytics.

6. Competition Tracking & Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor product launches, pricing strategies, and promotional schemes.
  • Analyse ATL/BTL campaigns, influencer activations, and trade visibility efforts.
  • Maintain a repository of competitor specs, pricing, and schemes.
  • Provide strategic inputs to leadership on market threats and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with R&D and marketing to accelerate product upgrades and counter competitive moves.


Education- MBA-2-5 Years experience into Product Marketing.
