Redesign the provider and billing experience of eMedPractice’s RCM platform — simplifying complex financial workflows (claims, payments, eligibility, reconciliation) into intuitive, fast, and transparent tools that help clinics get paid effortlessly.
1. Lead Design for the Entire RCM Lifecycle
• Audit existing billing, claim, and ERA workflows; identify friction points.
• Redesign flows for claim creation, submission, payment posting, denial handling, and reports.
• Simplify screens, reduce clicks, and increase transparency at every stage.
2. Bridge Product, Engineering, and Finance
• Partner with Business Analyst to clarify requirements and compliance needs.
• Work with Architect and Dev leads to ensure design feasibility.
• Ensure all flows comply with HIPAA, payer submission formats, and audit-trail standards.
3. Create a Financial Design System
• Define patterns for financial tables, ledgers, and batch actions.
• Establish reusable Figma components for billing forms, claim cards, EOB views, and dashboards.
• Standardize visual hierarchy (what matters most: claim status, payment amount, date, payer).
4. Drive UX Strategy & Data-Driven Design
• Partner with analytics to monitor RCM-specific KPIs (time to submit, first-pass rate, days in A/R).
• Run usability tests with billers and practice admins — translate feedback into measurable fixes.
• Identify automation opportunities in repetitive tasks (ERA posting, eligibility checks).
5. Mentor and Align Design Teams
• Work closely with UI-UX Lead to maintain consistency across clinical and financial modules.
• Document best practices, flows, and component usage for dev hand-offs.
• Champion accessibility and data clarity in all financial screens.
• 8–12 years total in product or UX design, with 3+ years leading B2B or FinTech/healthcare workflows.
• Strong experience designing for billing, claims, or payments systems (EHR, RCM, banking, or ERP).
• Expertise in Figma, FigJam, and Miro; can produce both system maps and pixel-perfect designs.
• Solid grasp of HTML/CSS concepts and collaboration with developers.
• Experience in data visualization and financial dashboards.
• Excellent written communication — must document logic clearly for cross-team use.
• Familiarity with EHR / RCM domain (837/835, CPT/ICD codes, ERA/EOB).
• Understanding of HIPAA, NPI, payer rules, and auditability.
• Experience introducing design systems or design governance.
• Exposure to AI-driven or automation-based UX (auto-posting, denial prediction).
• Systems thinker who sees design as process simplification, not decoration.
• Empathic toward both the provider and the biller’s daily grind.
• Obsessive about clarity, financial accuracy, and real usability.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving modernization project.
