As a Specialist in Source AI at McKinsey, you will be part of the Source AI team, working in Gurgaon, Bangalore, and Chennai. You will collaborate with consultants and senior leaders globally to deliver value for the procurement function. Your role will involve developing, implementing, and optimizing AI-driven tools and processes for category management. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing a deep understanding of the domain/function and Source AI, a Gen AI fueled strategic category management platform within Operations practice. - Working with cross-functional teams to enhance the platform, ensure seamless client deployment, and continuously upgrade functionalities based on client demands. - Leading analyses on key spend categories to identify opportunities through solutions and collaborating with practice leaders and experts to build new functionalities and knowledge. - Connecting with external market solutions and establishing partnerships to deliver mutual value. - Mentoring analysts on procurement analyses and client solution delivery as you progress in the role. Your qualifications and skills for this role include: - Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, business, or supply chain. - 5+ years of relevant industry/consulting experience in procurement and supply chain. - Broad expertise in spending category optimization on direct and indirect. - Exceptional problem-solving ability, logical reasoning, creative thinking, comfort with numbers, and untangling complex issues. - Understanding of research techniques, information sources, and statistical analysis relevant to purchasing and operations. - Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant analytics/statistical packages. - Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels in an organization. - Effective communication of complex ideas verbally and in writing. - Ability to work independently, manage projects, and collaborate in a team environment.
