Your Job

Primary contact for Procurement operations, liaising with Requestors of Purchase Requisitions, Plant Operations team, and Suppliers. Solicit quotations, Convert Purchase requests into Orders for Direct and Indirect Products and Services for plant operations. Follow up Suppliers for Order acknowledgements, timely delivery of Products and Services, ensure goods receipt is recorded in internal IT applications, payments are made on time to suppliers, and resolve disputes (Invoice/Payment) if any.

What You Will Do

  • PR to PO: Validate Purchase requisitions, Request for quotes from Suppliers for new products or services, Review quotes with Requestors/Sourcing team/Commodity managers, and issue Purchase orders to Suppliers.
  • Order acknowledgement & delivery: Ensure Purchase orders are delivered to Suppliers on time, receive order acknowledgements, and follow up for the timely delivery of Products and Services.
  • Good Receipt / Invoices: Work with requesters / Storeroom to ensure goods are received as per Quantity / Price issued in the purchase order, recorded in the system, and invoices are forwarded from Suppliers to the Accounts Payable team as appropriate. Resolve disputes in payments, if any, by coordinating with Suppliers, Requestors, the AP team, and other departments, as necessary.
  • Embrace and apply the Market-Based Management culture and philosophy. The role will involve supporting the US region as well, hence open to work in the US time zone to meet business needs.
  • Perform other related support activities as assigned by management

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Graduate/master’s degree
  • Proficiency in English
  • 2 to 4 years of Procurement experience is desirable, preferably gained in the industrial manufacturing industry – Procurement Specialist
  • Good PC skills are necessary, including Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate teamwork, proactiveness, and flexibility in supporting business needs.
  • The candidate will have an organized approach, is expected to work independently in a highly pressured environment.
  • Confidentiality is a requirement in this position.
