Job Title

: Procurement Manager – MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations)

Location

Job Purpose

To manage end-to-end procurement of MRO items such as consumables, tools, machine spares, PPEs, and utilities required for factory and office operations. The role involves vendor development, negotiation, timely procurement, and inventory coordination to ensure smooth plant and facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

Handle daily procurement of
MRO supplies
: bearings, mechanical parts, electrical spares, safety items, maintenance tools, lubricants, packaging materials, etc.
Identify and develop
new vendors
for cost efficiency and better quality
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors
Coordinate with
factory, stores, maintenance, and accounts
teams for planning and execution
Maintain and track
purchase orders, delivery follow-ups, GRN, and invoice processing
Monitor stock levels and consumption patterns; avoid overstocking or shortages
Ensure vendor compliance with quality standards and safety norms
Maintain and update data in Excel/ERP and prepare periodic MIS reports

Candidate Requirements

Qualification
: Diploma / BE in Mechanical or related field (MBA preferred but not mandatory)
Experience
: 4–8 years in MRO procurement in a
manufacturing or engineering company
Skills
:
Good knowledge of MRO categories and industrial vendors
Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination abilities
Proficient in
MS Excel
, ERP/SAP, and documentation
Practical understanding of technical terms, drawings, and specifications
