Job Description

Summary of the Role:

Responsible for analyzing data from various sources to support Raw Material and/or Indirect Procurement efforts such as cost reductions, price management, risk mitigation, compliance, category management, bid execution, supplier management, and preventing plant shutdowns due to material shortages. Will be accountable for specific projects related to key Procurement performance indicators and metrics. Partners with global Procurement management, planners, finance, sourcing managers, and others to support and leverage various initiatives and objectives.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Execute tasks as an independent self-starter that effectively adapts to changes and organizes activities to deliver expected results on time.
  • Provide analytical and project support for cross-functional and cross-organizational sourcing initiatives.
  • Develop should cost analyses, category analytics, and market insights to help Procurement manage costs.
  • Effectively collate, interpret, validate, and present data from multiple sources.
  • Work closely with project sponsors to define scope, objectives, and deliverables to complete projects on time.
  • Effectively communicate project related updates to project sponsors.
  • Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Diligently prioritize projects while keeping in mind importance, value creation, and time commitment.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing processes.
  • Prepare and provide presentations to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work effectively in multifunctional, global teams.

Requirements (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements):

  • 2+ years in an analytics role.
  • 60% In-person, 40% Remote.

Education / Certification:

  • University degree in a related field preferred.

Experience and Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and imperfect data in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to integrate business acumen with technical skills.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent PC skills in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SharePoint.
  • Flexibility to handle simultaneous requirements and tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of negotiating strategy, competitive bid process, source selection, and freight terms is considered a plus.
  • Strong SAP, BOBJ, or Ariba knowledge considered a plus.
