Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team focused on electronic components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality electronic products are produced efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Development & Optimization
  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for electronic products (e.g., PCB assembly, SMT, soldering, testing).
  • Evaluate existing processes and identify areas for improvement in quality, efficiency, and cost.
  • Lead process improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Ensure processes comply with industry standards such as IPC, ISO 9001, and ESD control.
  • Analyze root causes of defects or production issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Support FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and control plans.
  • Equipment & Tooling
  • Specify and procure tools, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure optimal machine performance and uptime.
  • Monitor and calibrate equipment to maintain process consistency.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and Process Flow Diagrams.
  • Collect and analyze production data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Provide training to production staff on new or revised processes.
  • Collaboration & Support
  • Work closely with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by designing and validating scalable manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support product lifecycle and cost-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in a process engineering role within electronics or high-tech manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes (e.g., SMT, reflow soldering, wave soldering, testing).
  • Familiar with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and SPC techniques.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools, process simulation, and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
