About the Organization

We are seeking a Process Engineer with a strong background in process design, project execution, and commissioning for our manufacturing plant at Karakhadi (near Baroda). The ideal candidate should be technically sound, self-driven, and able to manage projects independently from concept to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently handle chemical process projects, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables.
• Prepare PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), and plant layouts.
• Perform mass balance, energy balance, and hydraulic/pump sizing calculations.
• Conduct equipment sizing for reactors, distillation columns, heat exchangers, reboilers, and vacuum systems.
• Prepare and review CAPEX in coordination with project teams, ensuring budgetary control.
• Conduct HAZOP studies and pre-startup safety reviews (PSSR) for new projects.
• Coordinate with procurement teams for technical evaluation and vendor finalization.
• Participate actively in project commissioning and provide technical training to operations teams.
• Prepare detailed handover documents for seamless transition to plant operations.

Key Skills & Expertise

• Strong knowledge of chemical process design and detailed engineering principles
• Experience in Pilot Plant / Process Engineering and unit operations
• Proficiency in mass & energy balance, hydraulic calculations, and equipment design
• Exposure to process safety and risk management practices (HAZOP, PSSR)
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills
• Strong project coordination and cross-functional teamwork capabilities
