Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Printing Technology, Packaging Technology, Graphic Design, or related fields.
• Candidates with certification or coursework in packaging design, pre-press operations, or color management are preferred.
• Additional training in FMCG or food packaging standards is an added advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with printing vendors, packaging suppliers, and converters for timely production of packaging materials.
• Assist in creating, reviewing, and finalizing packaging artwork, ensuring accuracy in content, branding, and regulatory details.
• Ensure all packaging materials meet company quality standards, food safety regulations (FSSAI), and packaging compliance norms.
• Manage sampling, proof checks, color matching, and confirmation of mock-ups before final prints.
• Conduct quality checks on incoming packaging materials such as labels, pouches, cartons, mono cartons, shrink sleeves, trays, and laminates.
• Maintain updated records of artworks, revisions, die-lines, specifications, and version history.
• Coordinate with internal teams (procurement, marketing, production, QC, and warehouse) for packaging requirements and approvals.
• Monitor inventory levels of packaging materials and raise requisitions in advance to avoid production delays.
• Follow up with vendors for timelines, deliveries, corrections, and urgent packaging needs.
• Ensure accurate implementation of Pantone colors, print finishes (Spot UV, embossing, foiling, matte/gloss), and correct material specifications.
• Assist in cost evaluations and negotiation support by comparing packaging material prices and alternatives.
• Troubleshoot printing issues, technical errors, color variations, and packaging defects with suppliers.
• Support NPD (New Product Development) teams by coordinating packaging development for new SKUs.
• Review grammage, thickness, and material quality of laminates, cartons, and other packing materials.
• Ensure correct barcodes, batch spaces, legal declarations, nutritional panels, and compliance details are printed accurately.
• Maintain packaging documentation including vendor agreements, artworks, approval sheets, and QA reports.

Must-Have Skills:

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in printing, packaging, pre-press, or packaging material coordination (FMCG food industry preferred).
• Strong understanding of packaging materials such as laminates, mono cartons, labels, pouches, shrink sleeves, and corrugated boxes.
• Good knowledge of printing processes (offset, digital, flexo, rotogravure).
• Ability to read and work with die-lines, artwork layouts, and color standards (Pantone/CMYK).
• Experience coordinating with vendors, converters, and printing suppliers for packaging execution.
• Strong eye for detail with the ability to spot errors, misprints, spelling issues, and misalignment.
• Familiarity with food packaging regulations (FSSAI labeling, declarations, barcodes, nutritional panels).
• Basic proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CorelDRAW for reviewing and annotating artworks.
• Good understanding of material quality standards, such as GSM, micron thickness, and finishing parameters.
• Ability to multitask, manage timelines, and meet strict production schedules.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to work with procurement, production, marketing, QC, and suppliers.
• Problem-solving ability to address printing issues, color mismatches, and packaging defects quickly.
