Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Principal/Senior Sales professional to lead and support strategic sales initiatives in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tendering, bid management, cost estimation, and client engagement, with a proven ability to drive business growth through technical and commercial excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Tender & Bid Management:
    • Review tender and bid documents thoroughly.
    • Prepare accurate Quantity Take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
    • Ensure timely submission of compliant and competitive proposals.
  • Proposal Development:
    • Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals.
    • Support pricing strategy formulation and cost estimation.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to align proposals with client expectations.
  • Client & Consultant Engagement:
    • Handle clarifications and queries from clients and consultants.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships to support business development.
  • Cross-functional Coordination:
    • Work closely with engineering and procurement teams to gather inputs.
    • Ensure alignment of sales strategies with operational capabilities.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
    • Prepare prequalification documents and ensure compliance with tender requirements.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and reference.
  • Presales & Presentation Support:
    • Assist in creating impactful presentations and presales materials.
    • Support sales pitches and client meetings with technical insights.
  • Market Intelligence:
    • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
    • Provide strategic inputs to enhance sales performance.
  • Quality & Accuracy:
    • Demonstrate high attention to detail in all aspects of work.
    • Ensure accuracy in costings, documentation, and client communications. Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, tendering, and bid management.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and estimation software.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.
