Overview
We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Product Manager to join the Teams CMD group, focusing on the Teams Calendar experience. This role is critical for driving the product vision, roadmap, and execution for the Teams Calendar, ensuring seamless integration with Outlook and other Microsoft 365 experiences. You will play a pivotal role in managing and aligning diverse stakeholder groups across engineering, design, EDU, and partner teams.Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for the Teams Calendar, aligning with the broader CMD and Microsoft Teams vision.
- Lead end-to-end product development for calendar features, from ideation to launch, ensuring high-quality delivery and user satisfaction.
- Act as a key point of contact for stakeholder management, coordinating with EDU, engineering, and cross-org partners to confirm requirements, resolve dependencies, and drive consensus on priorities
- Facilitate communication and alignment among multiple teams, including managing feedback loops, addressing stakeholder concerns, and ensuring timely updates on project milestones
- Use data-driven insights, customer feedback, and telemetry to prioritize features and continuously improve the calendar experience.
- Collaborate with design and research to deliver intuitive, accessible, and delightful calendar experiences for Teams and Outlook users.
- Represent Teams Calendar product in executive reviews, roadmap planning, and cross-org initiatives.
- Support the rollout of new features, manage change communications, and help mitigate risks related to NPS and user adoption
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- Large-scale consumer or enterprise software experience.
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration, especially in matrixed or global organizations.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience with experimentation, A/B testing, and telemetry analysis.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholder groups.
- Deep customer empathy and a passion for solving real-world problems.
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.4+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
- 6+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
- 6+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).
- Experience in calendar, scheduling, or collaboration tools (Teams, Outlook, etc.).
- Familiarity with video conferencing, real-time communication, or productivity platforms.
- Prior experience supporting product launches and managing stakeholder communications in a fast-paced environment.
