Pricing Manager

Role Overview: You will be responsible for understanding customer needs and strategizing the costing and pricing for the company. Your role will involve negotiating cost-effective rates with service providers, coordinating with airlines, shippers, and agents for the quoting process of shipments, and maintaining communication with vendors and carriers. Additionally, you will be required to report problems or discrepancies, ensure timely delivery to customers, negotiate spot rates, and assist the sales team with business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Understand customer needs to strategize the costing and pricing. - Negotiate cost-effective rates with service providers to ensure maximum profitability. - Coordinate with airlines, shippers, local and overseas agents for the quoting process of shipments. - Maintain continuous communication with vendors, shippers, carriers, and other branch offices throughout the quotation process and choose proper routing appropriate to the customers" needs. - Immediately report problems, operation disputes, or discrepancies to supervisor, manager, or department head. - Follow up to ensure the freight is cleared and delivered to the customer on time, updating systems accordingly. - Negotiate and coordinate spot rates and/or quotations for shipments/services within our clients" database. - Display a thorough understanding of industry-related terminology and processes. - Strategize ways of increasing profit margins while keeping costs at a minimum. - Assist the sales team with business development and securing new business initiatives.
