Presales Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer Presales to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining CCTV surveillance systems (IP & Analogue) and Access Control solutions across project sites — often travelling pan-India for site surveys, installations, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys to assess client requirements, environment and optimal camera & access-control placement.
• Design surveillance & access-control system architecture using software tools (layout drawings, system diagrams).
• Install, configure, and commission IP and analogue CCTV camera systems, DVR/NVR units, PoE switches, and associated networking.
• Install access-control systems: door controllers, biometric devices, integration with time-attendance systems.
• Configure network settings, IP addressing, PoE switching, NVR configuration for CCTV & access control integration.
• Perform systematic testing, calibration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of CCTV and access-control systems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and service visits; diagnose and resolve hardware, software or network issues when needed.
• Prepare detailed documentation: Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material submittals, system layout drawings, project reports, site-handover documents.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders; provide clear communication and demonstrations/training where required.
• Travel to project sites across India for site surveys, installations, commissioning, maintenance, and support.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Experience with CCTV installation (IP & analogue), access-control systems, and related security hardware.
• Familiarity with major CCTV/access-control brands (e.g., ESSL, Matrix, Spectra, CP Plus, basic knowledge of Hikvision).
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals — LAN, IP addressing, PoE switches, networked NVR/DVR configuration, cabling standards (cat5/6, coaxial).
• Proficiency with design/documentation tools: MS Visio (for system architecture & layout design), AutoCAD (for drawings and marking), MS Excel & Word (for BOQ, documentation, reporting).
• Strong trouble-shooting skills: able to diagnose and solve problems in CCTV, access-control and networked systems.
• Good communication and coordination skills; ability to interact with clients, understand requirements, present system proposals, and coordinate with project teams.
• Willingness to travel pan-India for site visits, installations, and maintenance as required.
