Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain

  platform solutions

  to ensure

  high availability, resilience, and performance

  in trading and financial applications.
• Provide

  platform support

  , including monitoring, incident management, and root cause analysis, with a focus on

  time-sensitive financial systems

  .
• Develop and maintain

  automation

  for configuration, monitoring, runbooks, and routine operations (Ansible, Rundeck).

• Forecast workloads

  and ensure infrastructure is

  right-sized, scalable, and cost-efficient

  (capacity planning and optimization).
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to deliver

  seamless deployments

  (Azure DevOps pipelines, Git).
• Build and maintain

  observability

  (dashboards, alerts, SLIs/SLOs) and drive

  operational excellence

  .
• Ensure compliance with

  security, audit, and regulatory

  requirements across

  AWS and on-prem

  environments.
• Contribute to

  infrastructure as code

  for consistent, repeatable environments (Terraform).

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in

  platform engineering, infrastructure/application support

  , or

  SRE

  —ideally in

  financial services/capital markets

  .

• Operating systems:

  Strong hands-on with

  Windows and Linux

  administration and troubleshooting.

• Scripting:

  Proficiency in

  PowerShell, Bash, or Python

  for automation and tooling.

• CI/CD & Automation:

  Experience with

  Azure DevOps

  (pipelines, repos),

  Ansible

  (playbooks/roles), and

  Rundeck

  (job orchestration).

• IaC & Provisioning:

  Practical experience with

  Terraform

  for AWS and on-prem provisioning.

• Monitoring & On-call:

  Hands-on with

  Nagios, Grafana, Splunk, and OpsGenie

  (or equivalents) for dashboards, alerting, and incident response.

• Cloud & Hybrid:

  Familiarity with

  AWS

  services and operating in

  hybrid (AWS + on-prem)

  environments.

• Containers (Nice to Have):

  Exposure to

  Docker/Kubernetes

  concepts.

• Networking/Storage (Working Knowledge):

  Ability to navigate basics (DNS, load balancing concepts, storage types) to troubleshoot with specialists when needed.

• Domain:

  Familiarity with financial platforms such as

  Front Arena (preferred)

  ,

  Murex

  , or other

  trading/risk systems

  .
• Strong problem-solving skills with a

  proactive, reliability-focused

  mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience defining

  SLIs/SLOs

  , error budgets, and runbooks for critical platforms.
• Knowledge of

  change/release management

  CAB

  processes in regulated environments.
• Exposure to

  incident post-mortems/RCA

  and preventive action tracking.
