Role Description

night shift position

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage overnight batch processes, ensuring accuracy and on-time completion.
• Investigate and resolve batch/job failures promptly; escalate as necessary.
• Automate routine tasks and monitoring activities using

  Linux shell scripting

  (Bash).
• Perform regular system checks and basic maintenance during off-business hours.
• Support and troubleshoot issues in

  Linux

  and

  Windows

  server environments.
• Use monitoring tools (e.g.,

  Nagios

  ,

  Grafana

  ) to proactively identify issues.
• Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams for incident resolution and enhancements.
• Maintain and update

  standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  and incident logs.
• Participate in a rotational on-call schedule for overnight support.
• Accurately document monitoring activities, resolutions, and perform root cause analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must have 2–5 years of experience in Production/Application Support roles.

• Strong expertise in Linux shell scripting

  (mandatory).

• Basic SQL knowledge

  for querying and investigating data-related issues.
• Experience in

  application or production support

  roles, ideally focused on

  batch processing

  and

  overnight operations

  .
• Familiarity with

  batch scheduling tools

  such as Cron, Control-M, or Autosys (preferred).
• Working knowledge of

  monitoring tools

  (e.g., Nagios, Grafana) is a plus.
• Knowledge of scripting in

  Python

  or

  Perl

  is an added advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
