Job Description

Job Role – Plant Head Company Name: Knitvel Needles Location: Hosur, Tamil Nadu Reporting To: Managing Director Knitvel Needles is looking for an experienced and result-driven Plant Head to lead the manufacturing operations at its Hosur facility. The role involves overseeing production, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, managing teams effectively, and driving continuous operational improvements. Key Responsibilities Plan daily machine loads and schedule production to ensure optimal efficiency Achieve production targets while maintaining quality standards and timelines Drive zero-defect product initiatives and lean manufacturing practices Monitor equipment usage, ensure preventive maintenance, and recommend upgrades Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing production team Maintain discipline, attendance, and safety across all departments Ensure full compliance with the Factories Act and relevant statutory requirements Implement and maintain QMS and TPM initiatives Conduct safety audits and enforce safety practices Conduct weekly performance reviews with the Managing Director Ensure accurate reporting and documentation from all production operators Manage shift schedules, leave approvals, and duty assignments Authorities Plan manpower, oversee recruitment and training Engage and manage labor contractors within budget Recommend disciplinary actions and salary increments in production Coordinate with external agencies for maintenance and support services Accountability Meet production targets within approved cost and timelines Ensure full compliance as Factory Manager under the Factories Act Required Skills and Competencies Proven leadership in plant operations and manufacturing management Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, QMS, and production scheduling Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to drive continuous improvement and maintain a safety-first culture Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering preferred 10–15 years of experience in manufacturing, including 5+ years in a leadership role Experience in textile or needle manufacturing is highly desirable Phone No: 9942976468 Mail Id: personal@knitvelneedles.com Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month Benefits: Food provided Health insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Provident Fund Schedule: Rotational shift Supplemental Pay: Overtime pay Performance bonus Yearly bonus Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Location: Hosur, Tamil Nadu (Preferred) Work Location: In person
