Production Manager

Production Manager – Job Summary The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing operations to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective production. The role involves leadership, team development, process optimization, and cross-functional coordination to drive operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement production goals aligned with organizational objectives Manage the production budget, including manpower, materials, training, and maintenance Create and release weekly and monthly production plans Ensure timely execution of production schedules and proactively resolve delays Apply PDCA and SDCA methodologies to improve product quality Ensure compliance with quality standards while minimizing rework and scrap Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing and Kaizen Monitor throughput and drive efficiency in operations Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and company regulations Develop and mentor team members and conduct performance reviews Collaborate with HR, QA, Stores, PED, and Maintenance teams Prepare and present production reports and KPIs to senior management Ensure material availability and maintain optimal inventory levels Oversee proper material handling and storage practices Enforce safe working practices and maintain shop floor cleanliness Coordinate with Maintenance for predictive and preventive maintenance Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and team building Proficient in lean manufacturing, PDCA, and Kaizen Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Proficient in MS Office and production planning tools Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field 7–10 years of production management experience in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of ISO/TS standards and quality systems is an advantage Key Coordination Areas: Human Resources Stores / Production Engineering Department Quality Assurance / Product Management Maintenance Management Representative Phone No: 9942976468 Mail: personnel@knitvelneedles.com Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month Benefits: Food provided Health insurance Life insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Provident Fund Schedule: Day shift Morning shift Rotational shift Weekend availability Supplemental Pay: Overtime pay Performance bonus Yearly bonus Application Question(s): Are you Ready to work in Mid-Level Company & Are you Ready to work for given the Salary Range Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: Production management: 4 years (Required) Work Location: In person
