Job Title: Unit Head – Plant Operations Location: GWALIOR,MP Experience Required: Minimum 20 Years Industry Preference: Food or Pharmaceutical Industry Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to lead our manufacturing plant operations in Bihar. The Unit Head will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end plant activities, ensuring efficient production, quality compliance, cost management, and people leadership. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth industry expertise from the food or pharmaceutical sectors, with a strong track record of operational excellence and team management. Key Responsibilities: Plant Operations Management: Lead daily plant operations to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient functioning across production, quality, maintenance, logistics, and safety. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve production targets, cost optimization, and continuous improvement. Quality & Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements (FSSAI, GMP, etc.), and internal quality systems. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across functions. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Cost & Efficiency Management: Drive initiatives for cost reduction, process efficiency, and productivity enhancements. Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Supply Chain, HR, and Corporate teams to align plant goals with overall business objectives. Sustainability & Safety: Promote and enforce EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) practices and sustainability measures within the plant. Desired Candidate Profile: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Pharmacy, or related field. Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in the food or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Proven track record in leading large-scale plant operations with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Excellent knowledge of industry standards and regulatory frameworks. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
