Planning Manager

Key Responsibilities:Production Planning & Scheduling

• Develop and manage Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on sales forecasts, confirmed orders, and inventory levels.
• Plan daily/weekly/monthly production activities for extrusion, printing (CI Flexo/Rotogravure), lamination, slitting, and pouching.
• Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) and align planning with dispatch schedules to ensure timely delivery.
• Prioritise jobs in line with customer deadlines and machine availability.

Coordination & Execution

• Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Production, and Dispatch teams to synchronise operations.
• Ensure timely availability of raw materials, inks, adhesives, and films through proactive coordination with the purchase team.
• Conduct daily review meetings with production and dispatch to track plan vs actuals and address gaps.

Inventory & Resource Management

• Maintain optimum levels of raw material, semi-finished, and finished goods stock.
• Control wastage through effective planning and sequencing of jobs.
• Analyse machine capacity and manpower availability to reduce bottlenecks.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Track and report OTIF (On Time In Full) performance, production adherence, and planning accuracy.
• Publish daily/weekly/monthly planning reports for management review.
• Identify deviations from the plan and implement corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement

• Implement best practices in capacity planning, demand forecasting, and scheduling.
• Drive efficiency projects to improve machine utilisation and reduce idle time.
• Ensure compliance with BRCGS / ISO standards in planning processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate / Postgraduate in Engineering, Production, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in production planning & control within the Flexible Packaging industry (lamination, printing, extrusion, pouching).
• Strong knowledge of CI Flexo / Rotogravure printing processes.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and MS Excel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
