Scope of Work:

The Director for Placement and Training


Role & Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for all the activities relating to the student’s placement.
  • To coordinate with the industries for providing the vocational Internship courses to students.
  • To arrange guest lectures, workshops, seminars, industrial visits & educational tours for students regarding employment skill sets.
  • To coordinate with the different industries for on-campus and off-campus interviews of the meritorious students for providing suitable jobs in their organization.
  • To be responsible for interaction with different industries for the functioning of Employment Development Programs.
  • To establish and maintain strong relationships with various industries, companies, organizations, and government bodies to facilitate internships, training programs, and job placements for students.
  • To assist students in finding suitable internships and training opportunities relevant to their fields of study. They provide information about available positions, application procedures, and deadlines.
  • To assist students in securing employment upon graduation. This involves organizing placement drives, job fairs, and campus recruitment events where companies visit the campus to conduct interviews and hire students.
  • To provide guidance to students on crafting effective resumes and cover letters. They also offer workshops and seminars on interview skills, communication, and soft skills to help students present themselves well during job interviews
  • To offer personalized career counselling and guidance to students, helping them identify their strengths, interests, and career aspirations. They guide students in making informed career decisions and choosing career paths that align with their skills and goals.
  • To collaborate with various departments to identify skill gaps in students and organize workshops, training sessions, and certification programs to enhance their technical and soft skills.
  • To maintain a strong connection with alumni who have successfully entered the
  • workforce. Alumni can provide valuable insights, mentorship, and networking opportunities for current students.
  • To gather data on student placements, internships, and career development activities. They analyze this data to track trends, measure success rates, and make improvements to their services.
  • To keep themselves updated on the latest industry trends, job market dynamics, and emerging sectors. This information helps them guide students toward career paths that are in demand.
  • To nurture relationships with employers, recruiters, and HR professionals from various industries. They understand the hiring needs of these organizations and align their efforts to match students with suitable job opportunities
  • To organize networking events, seminars, guest lectures, and panel discussions where students can interact with professionals from different industries and gain insights into the real-world work environment.
  • To handle any specific duties related to the training and placement activities as directed by the VC or the management.


Candidate’s Profile :

  • Graduation in any discipline / MBA (Master in Administration – General)
  • Any certification course Student Career development
  • 20 to 25 yrs (Customer service Experience) Upholding ethical standards and integrity in all career services activities is fundamental.
  • Good connect with Industries, to develop and implement strategic plans for career services in alignment with the university's goals and evolving job markets. Ability to engage with students, provide career counseling, and support their job search and career development is critical.
  • Leadership and Management Skills, Problem solving Skills, Accreditation Knowledge, Industry Connection, Communication and Networking skills.

Location : CMR University (City Campus, Kalyan Nagar)
