Desktop Engineer

Role Purpose: The Desktop Engineer is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure across various campuses, including troubleshooting, configuration, and support for desktop and network systems. Roles and Responsibilities: Network and Hardware Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WIFI, LAN, and network devices (switches, routers). Configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, drivers, and network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls). System Configuration and Support: Install and configure Windows operating systems and other necessary software. Ensure secure configuration of network devices and systems, working with OS and application teams for successful client service. Infrastructure Maintenance and Collaboration: Administer and maintain IT infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, servers, routers, CCTV systems, and biometric attendance systems. Coordinate with external agencies for the maintenance of internet connections, antivirus software, ERP, and other essential software. Monitoring and Issue Resolution: Monitor IT infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and manage rerouting in case of outages, including alarm clearance and fixing faults. Ensure smooth data circuit functionality and resolve any related issues. Documentation and Coordination: Document network setups, configurations, and system maintenance. Liaise with support teams and ensure timely resolution of tickets raised by employees. Conduct regular visits to campuses to ensure the smooth function of IT infrastructure. Desired Skills and Experience: Knowledge of Google Workspace: A working knowledge of Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Meet, and Google Admin Console. Work Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience in IT support and infrastructure management. Experience in school, university, and retail sectors is an advantage. Location and Availability: Immediate joiners preferred. Candidates based in or near South Bangalore are preferred.
