The role

A Desktop Engineer provides technical support to users by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktop hardware, software, and network systems. They are responsible for setting up workstations, resolving technical issues, upgrading systems, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of an organizations desktop infrastructure.

What you ll be doing

  • Software and hardware Installation, upgradation, and troubleshooting of Windows 11 and MacBook, troubleshooting hardware and software-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day issues related to app performance, browser, internet issues, and internet connectivity, and system performance.
  • Manage OS installation; fixed PC startup and login issues, upgrade hardware and raise ticket with OEM for hardware issues and vendor follow-up.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshoot LAN and network issues, driver installation, Network printer installation.
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of Teams Zoom room, RDP VPN, team viewer.
  • Configure and troubleshoot email outlook, O365, OneDrive and Teams issues.
  • Should be familiar with Auto Pilot, Intune, Hybrid, and Azure standard build devices and team viewer, slack and Jira.
  • Knowledge of Office 365, Azure/Entra ID, online exchange, MS Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
  • Basic Knowledge of Active directory, DHCP, DNS, LAPS, networking concept IP addressing, cabling and troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
  • Knowledge of AV and endpoint and email security, phishing, spam, malware and cybersecurity concept.
  • Responsible for managing IT asset inventory, knowledge of excel, fresh service (ITSM) tools.

What we re looking for

  • Desktop/ technical support executive with five years of experience in windows and Mac environment.
  • Good troubleshoot skills with ability to support and troubleshoot desktop, network, Wi-Fi and O365 technical issues.
  • Self-motivated, analytical mind, good team member, capable of working independently with minimum supervision.
  • Good communication skill with ability to communicate technical and non-tech issues with colleagues at all levels.
