Job Title: Performance Engineer Job ID: POS-12887 Primary Skill: Performance testing Location: Hyderabad Experience: 6.00 Secondary skills: C# / Rest Sharp API Mode of Work: Work from Office Experience : 3.5 to 6 Years About The Job We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer to join our QA team and lead performance testing efforts across web and enterprise applications. In this role, you will be responsible for designing test strategies, developing performance test scripts, executing various types of performance tests, and analyzing results to ensure system stability and scalability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to validate performance requirements, identify bottlenecks, and contribute to continuous performance improvements in a global delivery environment. You'll have the opportunity to showcase your talents by contributing to impactful projects. Responsibilities Develop performance test strategies, plans, and scenarios aligned with project goals. Identify performance test requirements and define workload models with project teams. Create and execute performance test scripts using protocols such as Web (HTTP/HTML), TruClient, REST, and .NET. Validate test environments, monitoring tools, and test data readiness. Conduct various types of performance tests including stress, load, endurance, and volume testing. Analyze test results, identify performance bottlenecks, and document defects using Microfocus Quality Center. Generate detailed performance test reports and communicate findings to stakeholders. Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues. Continuously improve performance testing processes and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines. Requirements Strong experience in performance testing, monitoring, and analysis with excellent reporting skills. Proficiency in tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, AppDynamics, Splunk, or other APM tools. Experience in scripting for various protocols: Web (HTTP/HTML), TruClient, REST, Web Services, and .NET. Ability to simulate different user loads and patterns for various test types. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and performance testing in Agile environments. Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language. Experience with Storm Runner and performance testing in cloud-based applications. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a global delivery model with diverse stakeholders. Good To Have Experience in WAS tuning, JVM tuning, and PL/SQL tuning. Expertise in debugging performance scripts and identifying bottlenecks using monitoring tools. Knowledge of DevOps practices including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Test-Driven Development. Experience with performance testing and tuning for cloud-native applications.
