About the team
Our payroll team support the FIS business through processing payroll and benefits for over 2,000 UK, Jersey and Ireland based colleagues. We are looking for an experienced Payroll Analyst to join our high performing and collaborative team.
 
What you will be doing
As Senior Payroll Analyst, you will deliver an effective and accurate payroll service to our UK business. You will be responsible for maintaining and updating colleague renumeration, reporting employee changes and benefit changes. You will also assist with future implementation projects, of new payrolls and new payroll software, HMRC documentation and be involved with coordinating year end payroll requirements.
 

Key responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Payroll - for both UK and Irish payrolls
  • Payroll processing, including statutory elements: PAYE, SSP, SMP, SAP, SHPP, SPP
  • Aid the Implementation of Workday payroll software and future implementations
  • Maintaining and updating employee data, including monthly benefits data and P11Ds
  • Triage and respond to pay queries from both colleagues and external agencies as they arise including HMRC and court orders
  • Collating data from Workday, and ensuring this is processed correctly by our payroll vendor
  • Dealing with complex queries
  • Identification of payment or data errors
  • Performing payroll reconciliation
  • Providing updates and information on: P45's, P60's etc.
  • Produces various scheduled/ad hoc analyses and reports as needed.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
CIPP Desired, Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, human resources or business administration or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
What you bring:
  • A minimum of 5 years payroll experience.
  • Strong UK legislation knowledge.
  • Knowledgeable on payroll Implementations
  • Knowledgeable in the use and administration of payroll systems e.g., Workday HCM/Payroll & ADP
  • Knowledgeable on Benefits, such as Pensions
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills both in verbal and written form.
  • Focused, proactive self-starter with good interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for attention to detail and getting it right first time.
  • Able to prioritise and deliver to deadlines.
  • Experience of dealing with large volumes of data
  • Should be comfortable to work around UK time zones.
  • Can demonstrate superior knowledge and work experience around UK Payroll legislation including but not limited to:
    • SMP, SPP, SAP, SSP, ShPP, Alabaster
    • P11Ds, P11Dbs and Class 1A NIC, Directors NICs
    • P60s, P45s, new starter forms and statement of earnings.
    • Benefit in Kind, Payrolling benefits, Salary sacrifices allowable benefits and rules.
    • Childcare vouchers and basic earnings assessments, Pension auto enrolment and re enrolment, Share schemes
    • Pension auto enrolment and re enrolment
    • Apprenticeship levy
    • National minimum wage
Added bonus if you have:
  • Experience using systems: Workday HCM & Payroll, ADP Streamline, Freedom or IHCM,
  • Preferred experience within Workday (HCM) HR/Payroll system.
  • CIPP desirable
