Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

Accounts Payable Specialist

to manage and oversee the full cycle of accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of hands-on experience in invoice processing, vendor management, payment execution, and compliance with internal controls and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes including invoice receipt, validation, coding, and posting.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and employee expense claims.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Coordinate with procurement and business teams to ensure proper PO matching and GRN validation.
Monitor aging reports and ensure timely payments to vendors.
Maintain vendor master data and ensure compliance with company policies.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to AP. Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Identify process improvement opportunities and support automation initiatives. Ensure compliance with tax regulations (e.g., GST, TDS) and corporate policies.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in Accounts Payable or related finance function.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba).
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a shared services or multinational environment.
Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
Exposure to automation tools (e.g., RPA, OCR).
Certification in finance or accounting (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.
