Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Accounts Payable Specialist
to manage and oversee the full cycle of accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of hands-on experience in invoice processing, vendor management, payment execution, and compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes including invoice receipt, validation, coding, and posting.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and employee expense claims.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with procurement and business teams to ensure proper PO matching and GRN validation.
- Monitor aging reports and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Maintain vendor master data and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to AP. Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support automation initiatives. Ensure compliance with tax regulations (e.g., GST, TDS) and corporate policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Accounts Payable or related finance function.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba).
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a shared services or multinational environment.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
- Exposure to automation tools (e.g., RPA, OCR).
- Certification in finance or accounting (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.
