iNetFrame Technologies is at the forefront of the software services industry, offering specialized services in Blockchain, AI/ML, Business Intelligence & Analytics, and Oracle ERP. The company also provides Product Incubation, Technology Consulting, and Application Development and Maintenance services using both Microsoft and Open Source platforms.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Optical Engineer located in Bengaluru. The responsibilities include designing optical systems and components, conducting laser system design, and performing various optical engineering tasks. The Optical Engineer will also be involved in the overall systems design process and applying the principles of physics to create and improve optical devices.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication, Telecommunications, or related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in optical network engineering roles.
Incident management and troubleshoot optical network infrastructure (DWDM/OTN/SDH).
Configure and maintain optical transmission equipment (e.g., Ciena, Infinera, Nokia, Huawei).
Strong knowledge of optical technologies: DWDM, SDH/SONET, OTN, GPON.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fiber, optical amplifiers, mux/demux, ROADMs, etc.
Work closely with NOC, vendors, and field engineers during incident resolution and maintenance activities.
Understand and have experience with OTDR testing, fiber characterization, and power level analysis.
Familiarity with fiber standards, splicing, and connector types.
Review and update network documentation including circuit diagrams, test results, and change logs.
Participate in scheduled maintenance and change implementation for capacity upgrades or re-routing.
Support projects involving metro, long-haul, and inter-data center connectivity.
Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and operational standards.
Good communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Optical certification (e.g., FOA, Ciena Certified, or equivalent).
Experience in Data Center or ISP environments.
Exposure to automation or scripting for optical operations (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
Knowledge of dark fiber infrastructure and vendor coordination.
