Job Title: Online Marketing Specialist

Location: Hybrid-Remote

What Do We Expect From You

The Online Marketing Specialist will support the execution of Rakuten Symphony’s online marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, generate leads, and support sales growth in the telecom industry. This role requires a blend of technical aptitude, creative thinking, and a passion for understanding how AI and LLMs are transforming the digital landscape. You’ll be at the forefront of learning how to maximize online performance in a world increasingly influenced by AI-generated content and search results. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams


Responsibilities

Campaign Support (Telecom Focus):

• Assist in the planning, execution, and optimization of online marketing campaigns across various channels (e.g., SEM, social media advertising, industry-specific forums, email marketing) to target telecom operators and industry professionals.

• Support the development of ad copy, landing pages, and other marketing assets tailored to the telecom audience.

• Monitor campaign performance and identify areas for improvement, with a focus on metrics relevant to the telecom industry (e.g., lead quality, MQLs, SQLs).

• Manage campaign budgets and track expenses.


Data Analysis & Reporting (Telecom Focus):

• Analyze website traffic, campaign data, and customer behavior to identify trends and insights specific to the telecom and broader market.

• Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to Rakuten Symphony’s business goals and online performance.

• Use data to inform marketing decisions and optimize campaign performance.

• Conduct A/B testing to improve conversion rates.


SEO/SEM:

• Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis specific to the telecom industry.

• Assist in optimizing website content for search engines (both organic and LLM), focusing on keywords relevant to Rakuten Symphony’s solutions.

• Support the execution of SEM campaigns targeting telecom operators and industry professionals.

• Monitor search engine rankings and identify opportunities for improvement.


AI/LLM Learning & Application:

• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in AI and LLM technologies and their impact on online marketing.

• Experiment with AI-powered tools to generate content, optimize ad copy, and improve campaign performance.

• Learn how to effectively leverage AI to personalize the customer experience and improve engagement.

• Contribute to the development of best practices for using AI in Rakuten Symphony’s online marketing efforts.


Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, sales, product, engineering).

• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

• Provide regular updates on campaign performance and marketing initiatives


Qualifications

• Min. 1-3 years of experience in online marketing, digital marketing, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of online marketing channels and best practices.

• Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and social media advertising platforms (e.g. LinkedIn Ads, etc.).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

• Excellent analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• A demonstrated interest in AI and LLM technologies.


Additional Qualifications (Helpful):

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

• Experience with marketing automation tools (specifically Pardot).

• Experience with Salesforce reporting and tracking.

• Experience with content management systems (CMS) specifically Webflow, and the tracking of leads through submission forms.

• Knowledge of SEO best practices.

• Experience with A/B testing tools.

• Familiarity with the telecom industry and its key players.
