Job
Description
As a Vendor Onboarding Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of subcontractor onboarding, from initial contact to compliance approval, while also maintaining strong vendor relations that drive long-term business growth. Your role will require excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance both administrative compliance tasks and relationship management. You will be tasked with managing the end-to-end onboarding of subcontractors, ensuring they complete contracts, insurance, W-9s, licenses, and all compliance documentation. Additionally, you will enter, track, and maintain vendor details in internal systems such as CRM, ERP, and project management platforms. It will also be your responsibility to verify subcontractor compliance with AHJ, financier, and utility requirements before assigning projects, as well as conducting initial training for subs on Lytegen's SOPs, photo pack/compliance checklists, and project expectations. In terms of vendor relations and engagement, you will act as the primary point of contact for new and existing subs. Building strong relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and professional support will be key. You will regularly check in with subs to ensure they remain engaged, satisfied, and aligned with company processes, as well as help resolve vendor issues quickly to prevent project disruptions. Furthermore, you will work closely with operations and sales to ensure Lytegen always has a reliable pool of active, compliant subs. Identifying opportunities to expand partnerships with high-performing vendors and disengage from underperforming ones will also be part of your responsibilities. Gathering vendor feedback and relaying insights to management for process improvements are crucial for supporting company growth goals by scaling vendor partnerships smoothly and efficiently. To qualify for this role, a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, along with 2+ years of experience in vendor management, subcontractor onboarding, account management, or operations (solar/renewable energy experience is a plus). Strong English communication skills, excellent organizational skills, persuasion, professionalism, attention to detail, and process accuracy are also required qualities. In return, you will receive a competitive salary package, an opportunity to grow within a rapidly expanding U.S. solar company, professional development and training in vendor management and solar industry operations, as well as exposure to international business practices and cross-border operations.,
