Position’s Goal
To support space allocations by maintaining polylines for each floor of each building using CAD, capturing post-move space reconfigurations. Also, maintains CAD drawing library.
Deliverable Role / Responsibilities
In addition to tasks identified in the CAD function and Drawing Management, the responsibilities include:
- Create and Maintain Layouts & Data on IWMS Tool) -
- Create Test - Fits/Refurbishment proposals - Globally
- In house app for booking - Solar (Create layouts & Data required) - Globally
- Handle Headcount portfolio - Headcount data analysis and maintaining records - India
- Space Chargebacks - APAC
- Maintains floor plans for each building using CAD to capture minor post-move space reconfigurations;
- Completes polylining for area measurements based on the BOMA Standard Method for Measuring Floor Area in Office Buildings;
- Completes and maintains attribute assignment;
- Performs space audits to ensure accuracy of reconfiguration to the design and update the CAD files accordingly;
- Provides support as necessary to Occupancy Planners for block planning and presentation drawings utilizing CAD;
- Maintains corporate CAD drawing policies and procedures;
- Coordinates with outside vendors the delivery and receipt of necessary CAD files; and
- Coordinates with outside vendors to ensure accuracy of drawings and adherence to the corporate CAD drawing policies and procedures.
- Maintain index of CAD files / CAD library
- Distributes CAD drawings as requested by Planners, Project Managers, FM, etc.
Activities / Deliverables
Accountable for delivery of the following items, although involvement could be indirect:
- Monthly recap of changes to Space Allocation Administrator and Occupancy Planners; and
- Floor plans (in CAD form) required to support space allocations.
Interaction
To ensure accurate reporting of information and foster critical relationships between various individuals and organizations, communications channels will exist with:
- Site Contacts to ensure that correct space data is in the database;
- Site-specific and/or Occupancy Planners to understand planned changes in space;
- Site Contacts to validate and update changes upon completion of a project move;
- Occupancy Planners to produce presentation drawings as needed; and
- Outside vendors (architectural/engineering firms, etc.) to facilitate transmission of CAD files to and from vendor and to ensure accuracy of incoming drawings and adherence to the corporate CAD drawing policies and procedures.
Education / Yrs of Experience
High School Degree (Associate Degree preferred). Experience in Computer Aided Design. Three to Five years of project-related experience in support of a Corporate Real Estate environment. A working knowledge of planning business, construction and technology (infrastructure) are necessary.
Technical Skills Required
Expert in AutoCAD R14 or higher, ability to trouble shoot and author updates and changes to CAFM tool technology as required.Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook),
