Position Overview

The Head – Human Resources, will lead the strategic and operational HR function of the organization, ensuring the attraction, development, retention, and engagement of top talent aligned with the company’s mission to transform education through technology. This role will oversee the design and implementation of HR policies, workforce planning, performance management, talent development, and compliance in accordance with both industry best practices and government norms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute the HR strategy aligned with the organization’s vision and business objectives.
  • Partner with leadership to shape organizational culture and workforce capabilities.
  • Lead change management initiatives to support digital transformation and innovation in the edtech domain.
  • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
  • Design recruitment strategies to attract high-caliber professionals across technical, academic, and administrative functions.
  • Implement workforce planning, career planning and succession planning frameworks to ensure continuity in critical roles.
  • Performance & Capability Development
  • Establish a performance management system with measurable KPIs linked to organizational goals.
  • Develop a matrix for performance linked variable pay, allowances for employees
  • Lead learning and development initiatives to enhance employee skills in both technical and functional domains.
  • Develop and implement Conduct rules for employees
  • Develop and implement disciplinary rules and procedures for all categories of employees
  • Employee Engagement & Culture Building
  • Foster a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
  • Implement employee engagement programs to promote retention and motivation
  • Policy, Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure HR policies comply with applicable labor laws, government guidelines, and internal governance requirements.
  • Implementation of social security measures as per the requirement based on state norms.
  • Act as custodian for ethical conduct, grievance redressal, and workplace equity.
  • HR Operations & Technology Enablement
  • Oversee payroll, benefits, and HRMS operations for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Ensure the management of the Human Resource Information System (HR Application) of ASAP Kerala
  • Leverage HR analytics for data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
  • Experience in organizations with diverse interests, preferably in Government/PSU
  • Proven track record in strategic HR planning, talent management, and organizational development.

Employment Type & Location

Full-time, ContractLocation: Office of ASAP Kerala, KINFRA Film and Media Park, Trivandrum, KeralaThe mode of selection may include a written test and/or personal interview, which shall be intimated later. The selected candidate will be required to execute an agreement with ASAP Kerala.The initial engagement shall be for a period of one year, which can be extended based on performance and organisational requirements.It shall be noted that admittance to various stages of the recruitment will be provisional only and will not confer any claim unless various other conditions of selection processes are satisfied. Detailed scrutiny of the application/credentials will be conducted before the written test/interview/appointment.
