Job Description

This position is for a DevOps engineer who prioritizes prevention over reaction. If you're drawn to dissecting convoluted legacy infrastructure, architecting more effective systems, and automating every recurring task you find, this role will suit you. We need a DevOps and AWS infrastructure specialist who excels in high-pressure settings where 99.9% uptime is the standard. Your work will span a portfolio of acquired products, each presenting unique challenges, as you migrate them into a unified, scalable AWS environment while establishing monitoring and automation that genuinely reduce incident frequency.Where most companies ask you to maintain one stack, we're asking you to consolidate and refine several without causing disruptions. While other organizations isolate databases, our approach is different—we strategically consolidate them to enhance cost efficiency and management across our portfolio. This role isn't meant for someone content with maintaining existing infrastructure; it's designed for someone who encounters an inconsistent, scattered environment and immediately envisions a superior architecture.Your ownership will extend from infrastructure migrations to AI-powered automation, performance optimization, database migration, and cost management. This includes identifying and resolving failures, planning and executing smooth cloud migrations with minimal downtime, and using AI/ML-powered workflows to automate significant portions of your workload. You'll possess genuine decision-making authority over infrastructure—no delays waiting for sign-offs from those unfamiliar with the technical realities. If you're a self-directed problem-solver who enjoys untangling complicated systems and ensuring flawless operation, this role will be deeply satisfying. If you require constant guidance, feel overwhelmed managing multiple tech stacks, or favor greenfield projects over bringing order to complexity, this position won't be a good fit. If you're prepared to assume ownership of a high-impact infrastructure position with opportunities to build, refine, and automate at scale, submit your application now!

What You Will Be Doing

  • Planning and executing sophisticated infrastructure changes, including migrations from legacy environments to AWS cloud infrastructure and lift-and-shift migrations
  • Designing and deploying monitoring strategies and creating automations for monitoring, software deployments, and operational processes
  • Conducting system monitoring, system backups, incident response, database migrations, database configurations, and cost optimization

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Spending time in Jira and constant status meetings - we prioritize people who deliver solutions, not merely document issues
  • Maintaining legacy systems indefinitely - you'll be authorized to pursue substantial improvements
  • Getting delayed by bureaucratic approval processes - you'll possess the authority to implement immediate fixes during incidents
  • Becoming confined to narrow technical specializations - this role demands both wide-ranging and deep technical expertise
  • Advocating for budget to deploy critical improvements - we recognize the value of infrastructure investment

Network Engineer Key Responsibilities

  • Drive reliability and standardization of cloud infrastructure across our expanding product portfolio by deploying comprehensive monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices.

Basic Requirements

  • Deep AWS infrastructure expertise (this is our primary platform - experience with other clouds alone is insufficient)
  • Experience scripting with Python and Bash for routine administration operations
  • Experience managing and migrating production databases with multiple engines (including MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
  • Experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
  • Linux systems administration expertise
