Job Description

You're a DevOps engineer who prioritizes prevention over reaction. If dissecting a convoluted legacy infrastructure, architecting a more streamlined system, and automating every recurring task is your definition of engaging work, this role aligns with your strengths. We need a DevOps and AWS infrastructure specialist who excels in demanding environments where 99.9% uptime is the standard. Your work will span a portfolio of acquired products—each with distinct characteristics—as you migrate them into a unified, scalable AWS environment while implementing monitoring and automation that minimizes incident frequency. Many organizations expect you to manage a single technology stack. Our expectation is different: consolidate and refine multiple stacks without service disruption. Where others separate databases, we take a strategic approach to consolidation, optimizing for cost efficiency and centralized management across our product portfolio. This position isn't suited for someone comfortable maintaining the status quo; it's designed for someone who identifies fragmentation and immediately begins architecting improvements.Your scope encompasses infrastructure migrations, AI-driven automation, performance optimization, database transitions, and cost management. This includes diagnosing and resolving system issues, planning and executing cloud migrations with minimal downtime, and building AI/ML-powered workflows that eliminate manual processes. You'll have genuine decision-making authority over infrastructure choices—no delays waiting for approval from stakeholders disconnected from operational realities. If you're a self-directed problem-solver who excels at untangling intricate systems and ensuring flawless operation, this position offers significant opportunity. If you require constant guidance, struggle with diverse technology environments, or prefer greenfield projects over creating structure from complexity, this isn't the right fit. If you're prepared to assume ownership of a high-impact infrastructure position with latitude to build, refine, and automate at scale, submit your application now.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Planning and executing sophisticated infrastructure transformations, including migrations from legacy environments to AWS cloud platforms and lift-and-shift transitions
  • Architecting and deploying monitoring frameworks and creating automation for monitoring systems, software releases, and operational processes
  • Conducting system monitoring, backup operations, incident management, database migrations, database configuration, and cost reduction initiatives

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Spending your time in Jira and continuous status meetings - we prioritize people who deliver solutions, not simply document issues
  • Preserving obsolete systems indefinitely - you'll be authorized to implement substantive improvements
  • Waiting through bureaucratic approval processes - you'll possess the authority to implement immediate corrective actions during incidents
  • Operating within restrictive technical boundaries - this position demands both comprehensive and specialized knowledge
  • Justifying budget for essential infrastructure initiatives - we recognize the value of infrastructure investment

Network Engineer Key Responsibilities

  • Advance reliability and standardization of cloud infrastructure throughout our expanding product portfolio by deploying comprehensive monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices.

Basic Requirements

  • Extensive AWS infrastructure expertise (this is our core platform - experience with other cloud providers alone is insufficient)
  • Proficiency scripting with Python and Bash for routine administrative operations
  • Experience administering and migrating production databases across multiple engines (including MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
  • Linux systems administration proficiency
