Position Overview We’re seeking a versatile Native Mobile Application Developer to build and maintain both our Android and iOS apps, complementing our existing web platform (MissionPeak.app). You’ll translate an already live, mobile-friendly web experience into fully native applications for iPhone, iPad, MacOS, Android smartphones, tablets, and Wear OS. Your toolkit will include Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, REST APIs—and you’ll leverage Firebase (Cloud Messaging & Crashlytics) for notifications and monitoring. Key Responsibilities End-to-End Development Architect, develop, and ship native features in Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose Align with Figma designs and existing web UI for consistent look & feel Platform-Specific Integrations iOS: HealthKit, MapKit, Apple Watch support Android: Google Fit API, Google Maps API, Wear OS support Data Handling & Sync Consume existing REST APIs; ensure offline-first data storage with seamless sync on reconnect Notifications & Monitoring Implement push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging Integrate Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting and performance monitoring Real-Time Features Geolocation tracking and background updates Quality & Performance Write clean, maintainable code; conduct unit/UI testing Profile and resolve performance bottlenecks; fix bugs promptly Collaboration & Innovation Work in Agile/Scrum teams; participate in code reviews Stay current with mobile development trends and propose enhancements to boost engagement Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 3–5 years total in native mobile development, with professional experience on both iOS and Android Strong proficiency in Swift & SwiftUI , Kotlin & Jetpack Compose Proven track record integrating with RESTful APIs Familiarity with: HealthKit , MapKit , Apple Watch frameworks Google Fit API , Google Maps API , Wear OS SDK Firebase Cloud Messaging & Crashlytics Experience shipping to App Store and Google Play, including provisioning, signing, and store guidelines Access to a personal MacBook (Apple Silicon M1 or newer) and/or Windows PC for development Preferred Qualifications Hands-on with UIKit and MapBox SDK Integrated in-app payments (PayPal, Stripe) Built chat or messenger features in mobile apps Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines for mobile (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitrise) Background in outdoor, fitness, or health-related applications Experience in fully remote teams using collaboration tools (Slack, Jira, Confluence) What We Offer Flexible work hours in a contract engagement Competitive compensation commensurate with experience Opportunity to work on cutting-edge , high-impact projects A collaborative and inclusive company culture Professional growth through exposure to AI-driven product features If you’re passionate about building best-in-class mobile experiences and ready to own both iOS and Android codebases end-to-end, we’d love to hear from you!
