National Sales Manager (NSM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the GT Sales Strategy

  across multiple zones (North, West, South, East) to achieve primary & secondary sales targets, distribution KPIs, and profitability.
• Manage and mentor

  zonal and regional sales teams

  , ensuring strong execution and accountability across the sales hierarchy.
• Drive

  retail expansion, numeric & weighted distribution

  , and optimize coverage through effective sales infrastructure planning (beat, outlet classification, TSI productivity).
• Collaborate with Trade Marketing and Category teams to drive GT-focused activations, visibility, and schemes.
• Build strong relationships with key channel partners, distributors, and stockists to ensure healthy ROI and long-term alignment.
• Monitor and improve sales hygiene metrics like claims, stock aging, credit control, and outlet productivity.
• Lead

  new product launches

  and drive go-to-market strategies across GT channels.
• Analyze zone-wise sales performance and market dynamics, and translate insights into actionable plans.
• Work closely with supply chain, finance, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment.

Requirements:

• 12–15 years of strong sales experience in the FMCG/Consumer sector, with a

  core focus on General Trade

• Must have

  managed at least 2 zones

  (e.g., North & West / South & East) with strong exposure to regional dynamics.
• Proven experience in team leadership, distributor management, and retail expansion.
• Strong commercial acumen, with a hands-on approach to market execution.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Prior experience in managing large GT teams, with a mix of metro and rural market exposure.
