Mortgage Loan Processor

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Loan Processor support our Australian Mortgage Broking firm in a variety of tasks related to of loan processing, loan monitoring and loan administrative support.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who want to gain exposure to an Australian work culture while working closely with a dynamic team.

This role requires excellent English language proficiency, strong organizational skills, and experience in loan processing. It is preferred the candidate has experience in FLEX, Broker Engine, but this is not essential.  Candidate must be confident in using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Power Point).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Excellent Customer Service:

• Answer incoming calls
• Answer any inquiries customers have about their loan application
• Provide accurate and timely updates to customers during the entire lifecycle of loan application
• Provide resolution to issues as appropriate in a timely and efficient manner

• Coordinate Loan Files:

• Prepare documents setting out conditions of credit and loans, rates of repayment and loan periods, and providing information about customers' standing to financial and credit institutions
• Review files and documentation to ensure complete and accurate
• Use the FLEX / Broker Engine system to upload and submit files and paperwork
• File Management - maintaining an efficient filing system
• Monitor client files in progress (Approved, documents issued, settlements dates)
• Proactively contact financial and credit institutions to obtain information about customers
• Following up conveyancers, solicitors, real estate agents for documentation and dates set
• Order valuations on behalf of brokers and follow progress
• Follow up on stakeholders to confirm receipt and commitment to next action
• Communicate with stakeholders the status of loan files as appropriate

• Analysing Information & Administration

• Analyse information about customers and examining references, credit ratings, investment risks, pay slips and other information against predetermined policy standards
• Research lender policy to ensure all documents are accurate and up to date
• Keep records of payments, and preparing routine letters requesting payment for overdue accounts and forwarding these for legal action
• Prepare FHOG applications
• General office support and administration support to broker
• Compliance management of Loan Files
• Deliver timely and accurate reporting to the owner and Loan Writers

• File and Data Management

• Organize, update, and maintain digital files in compliance with the firm's procedures and confidentiality standards.

• Administrative Support

• Assist with billing, calendaring, and other administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth operation of legal services.

Collaboration

o  Work effectively with the Australian team to ensure the timely delivery of financial reports and compliance documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:

  Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business Administration, or Master of Business Administration, or related field preferred.

• Experience:

  Minimum of 4 years of experience as a loan processor, servicing the Australian market

• Technical Skills:

  Proficiency in FLEX / Broker Engine is highly regarded and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is necessary

• Language Proficiency:

  Excellent command of English (both written and verbal).

• Attention to Detail:

  Strong attention to accuracy and detail, especially in document preparation and data entry.

• Organizational Skills:

  Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
