MEP Engineer

Position: MEP Engineer Location: Kolkata Employment Type: [Full-time] Experience: Minimum 4 years in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Firefighting) Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled MEP Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience in design, coordination, installation, and maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, and BIM coordination. The role involves working closely with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure efficient MEP system implementation while adhering to industry standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Review and develop MEP designs, drawings, and specifications for construction projects. Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless MEP integration. Conduct site inspections to monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems. Ensure compliance with local codes, international standards (ASHRAE, NEC, IPC, NFPA), and sustainability practices. Perform HVAC load calculations, electrical load schedules, and plumbing system designs. Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates, and material procurement plans. Troubleshoot and resolve MEP-related issues during construction and post-handover. Manage BIM coordination (Revit, AutoCAD MEP) for clash detection and resolution. Supervise subcontractors and ensure quality control in MEP works. Assist in project scheduling, progress reporting, and documentation. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in MEP design and execution (residential, commercial, or industrial projects). Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, ETAP, or similar tools. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical power distribution, plumbing, and fire protection. Familiarity with green building standards (LEED, Estidama) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
