Job Summary

The Marketing of Fruits professional is responsible for promoting fresh fruits, increasing market reach, building distributor and retailer networks, and driving sales growth through effective marketing strategies. The role involves market analysis, branding, pricing coordination, and customer relationship management for domestic and/or export markets.

Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Market Development & Sales Support

  • Identify new markets, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and institutional buyers
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, traders, and buyers
  • Support sales team in achieving volume and revenue targets
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and consumer demand

2. Product Marketing & Promotion

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns for seasonal and year-round fruits
  • Coordinate promotions, sampling, trade offers, and point-of-sale branding
  • Ensure proper positioning of fruits based on quality, variety, and origin
  • Assist in packaging, labeling, and branding strategies

3. Pricing & Demand Planning

  • Coordinate with procurement and operations teams on pricing strategy
  • Analyze demand forecasts and market fluctuations
  • Support inventory movement to minimize spoilage and wastage

4. Customer & Channel Management

  • Manage key accounts and major buyers
  • Handle customer inquiries, negotiations, and order coordination
  • Collect feedback from the market and recommend improvements

5. Digital & Trade Marketing (if applicable)

  • Support digital marketing initiatives (social media, WhatsApp, online platforms)
  • Promote brand presence in trade fairs, exhibitions, and farmer markets
  • Coordinate with agencies for advertising and promotional materials

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare sales and marketing reports
  • Track campaign performance and ROI
  • Maintain customer and distributor database

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of fresh fruits market (seasonality, quality, shelf life)
  • Negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Understanding of supply chain and cold storage logistics
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing tools
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Agriculture, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in FMCG, agriculture, fresh produce, or food marketing
  • Experience in fruits trading/export/import is an added advantage

  • Sales growth and market expansion

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
