Market Research Manager

Job Title: Market Research Manager Location: Marol, Mumbai (On-site) Job Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly driven Market Research Manager to join the Gajab.com team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying trending products, potential vendors, and market gaps across major Indian e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Jiomart, etc. You’ll work closely with our sourcing, category, and marketing teams to provide real-time insights that drive business decisions in a fast-paced, negotiation-driven marketplace. Key Responsibilities Conduct deep research into trending products, categories, pricing patterns, and sales volumes across major online platforms Identify and list high-potential vendors, wholesalers, and manufacturers across key product segments Benchmark products, prices, and strategies across competitor platforms Track market trends, seasonality, and fast-moving SKUs in real time Compile actionable insights using Excel, Google Sheets, or PowerPoint Collaborate with sourcing, operations, and marketing teams to turn research into action Monitor buyer behavior trends relevant to negotiation and auction-based eCommerce Requirements 4-6 years of experience in product/market research, sourcing, or eCommerce operations Strong analytical and internet research skills In-depth familiarity with platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, and Jiomart Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask Based in Mumbai and comfortable working from our office in Marol Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points) Experience working in a marketplace or e-commerce startup environment Understanding of vendor ecosystems and supply chain (B2B/B2C) Ability to work independently and meet tight timelines Strong presentation/reporting skills What We Offer Be part of a disruptive startup redefining Indian ecommerce through negotiation and live commerce A learning-driven, fast-paced work environment Real exposure to strategy, category development, and sourcing Paid leave, sick time, and flexible scheduling (where applicable) Performance-based growth opportunities About Gajab.com Gajab.com is India’s first auction + negotiation-based marketplace, designed to bring back the thrill of bargaining into digital commerce.
