As a Market Research Manager at One of the reputed names into Consumer Goods / FMCG /Stationery / Toys / Sports Goods / Retail / E-Commerce in Mumbai, Maharashtra, your role involves leading the research and insights function to facilitate data-driven decisions across brand, product, pricing, and communication strategies. Your responsibilities include: - Designing, planning, and executing consumer research projects such as usage & attitude studies, brand tracking, concept testing, packaging evaluation, and ad testing. - Analyzing and interpreting market trends, competitive intelligence, and consumer data to identify growth opportunities. - Translating insights into actionable recommendations for marketing, sales, and product development teams. - Monitoring consumer preferences and emerging lifestyle trends that could impact product categories. To excel in this role, you should have: - A Master's degree in Marketing, Market Research, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. - 8 to 10 years of experience in market research or consumer insights, preferably within FMCG, Durables, Homeware, or Stationery products. - Strong experience with primary (qualitative & quantitative) and secondary research. - Hands-on experience with research tools like NielsenIQ, Kantar Worldpanel, Ipsos, YouGov, Brandwatch, and Helium. - Excellent analytical, storytelling, and presentation skills. - Ability to convert data into actionable insights and strategic business recommendations. - Strong project management and stakeholder management skills. Your work will involve collaborating with brand teams to influence brand positioning, communication, and innovation strategy, supporting new product launches with consumer validation and post-launch analysis, and developing annual research plans aligned with business and marketing objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing external research agencies, ensuring data quality and cost efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business planning and integrate traditional and digital data sources.
